The shadowy and utterly malevolent Kommandant is the leader of the Nazi splinter faction The Steel Cross and is fanatically devoted to two things. First, assuring the eventual world dominance of the Third Reich through a fusion of ancient wonders and highly advanced technology. Second, the complete destruction of the Odysseus Group as revenge for the number of times Odysseus members have foiled his world-spanning plans.

*The Kommandant personally oversaw a massive mining and research operation in the deep Congo aimed at producing a collection of telluric-energy-powered superweapons from the crystals found there. His plans were shattered when members of the New York chapter of the Odysseus Group infiltrated his facility and, with the help of an uprising among his sentient gorilla slave laborers, destroyed the entire operation.
