History

Rebecca Dane was the child of factory workers in Brisbane, Queensland. At the age of 10 she met Miles Thompson, and the two became inseparable, despite repeated and heated arguments. Growing up together, it was assumed by both their families that they would eventually marry, and the two seemed to take it as given as well.

Her history took a darker turn when, at the age of 17, she began to suspect that Thompson was intending to leave her. While he had not, in fact, been planning on anything of the sort, he had been feeling frustrated with their all-too-common arguments, and had been considering a vacation without her to let things cool down. This led to a series of misunderstandings between the young lovers, and Rebecca's fiery temper combined with Thompson's almost total inability to self-censor his speech led to a veritable conflagration. Rebecca, now convinced utterly (but mistakenly) of Thompson's betrayal, swore vengeance.

Thompson, fully convinced of Rebecca's capacity for wrath, fled the country.

Following his departure, Rebecca vanished. Only recently has she reappeared, now in the mantle of The Red Queen. As yet, no one, especially Thompson, is aware of her original identity.
